Here I would love to share some methods with you all by which you can make any doll’s shoes. That can be barbie, ag, or American dolls. I’ll describe two very easy and simple methods for all kinds of doll shoe patterns. Those are-

Let’s start with the first one-

Method: Paper Doll shoe Pattern

Materials:

Large colored paper for each side of shoes.
Pencil
Glue Strick / Hot Glue Gun

Process:

Step 1: Draw the Outline

Put the doll on the colored paper and draw the foot outline on the paper.

Step 2: Stick the Papers

Now, use a glue stick or gun to stick four papers together. Now keep the previously drawn foot outline paper on it and glue it carefully.

Step 3: Measure with The Foot Shape

Place the doll on the paper and try to bend the paper according to the foot shape. Glue the paper and let it dry.

Step 4: Cut the Sole

When the paper is fully dry, cut the shape out of the paper which seems like a shoe sole. Then, stick two pieces to the paper and let it fully dry.

Step 5: Make Shoe Straps

Now, cut the glued 2 pieces of paper into horizontal strips for the strap of the shoes. Place the first strip on the sole and glue it carefully at the bottom of the shoe.

Step 6: Attach the Shoe Strap

Before the glue fully dries, place the doll foot inside the shoe to adjust the fitting. If all is okay, then do the same to the other foot. Cut any excess part of the paper from the shoe.

Step 7: Make the Heel

Take a paper and roll it to get width like the sole. Apply glue, so that the roll stays still. Check the angle of placing the heel to the shoe.

Step 8: Glue The Heel

Then, cut the heel according to the size and glue the heel to the shoe, and you are done! Do the same to the other foot and your doll shoes will be ready.

Method: Leather Doll shoe Pattern

Materials:

Sheets of paper
Thin large piece of old leather
Pencil
Sewing Machine or Needle & Thread

Process

Step 1: Cut The Leather

On the paper trace the doll foot with a pencil and place the paper on the leather and cut the leather 1/2″ larger than the paper cut.

Step 2: Make The Sole

Now again trace the doll foot on the paper and cut it adding half an inch seam allowance.

Step 3: Cut The Top Part

Step 2 part will be used for the top part of the shoe. So, cut the leather according to the part for both left and right shoes.

Step 4: Make a Slip-into-Hole

Cut a circle on the edge part of the shoe to make it slip into the doll’s foot. It’ll position on the top part of the shoe.

Step 5: Start Sewing

Use the step 1 leather as the sole and sew it well with the top part of the shoe. After sewing cut, if there is any leather extension. Put it on the doll’s foot and stretch with your fingers for fitting. And you are done!
